COVID-19 UPDATE: CHANGES TO HURSTVILLE MATERNITY VISITING RESTRICTIONS

Hurstville Maternity will be making changes to our visiting restrictions to ensure the continued safety for our mums, bubs, staff and doctors

From 22nd October 2021

Current COVID-19 Patient Requirements

If you are planning to have your baby at Hurstville Maternity, we’ve made some changes to our patient requirements to ensure the safety of our Mums & Bubs.

Please note that the remainder of the hospital may have different requirements to us here in Maternity.

ü  All maternity patients and their partners are required to have a COVID-19 swab every 72 hours from 36 weeks gestation.

ü  For all patients and partners who present to Delivery Suite without a recent COVID swab result as outlines above, will be swabbed on presentation and nursed under full PPE precautions until the swab result is preformed and available.

We at Hurstville Maternity do not expect any further changes to these requirements till after mid-November 2021

If you or anyone you know, plan on visiting Hurstville Private Hospital, please note that there are now heavy restrictions in place regarding who is permitted in the hospital and when. Please advise your family and friends that no visiting is allowed whilst you are in the Delivery Suite.

Due to COVID-19, strict measures are now in place, and only your partner is allowed in the hospital with you.

If you or anyone you know, plan on visiting Hurstville Private Hospital, please note that there are now heavy restrictions in place regarding who is permitted in the hospital and when.

The safety and well being of our mums and babies is of the utmost importance. Therefore we are currently only permitting the partner of mothers and baby to visit our Maternity Unit.

All other family members and friends are now NOT permitted to visit the Maternity Unit.
