Birthing Suites
Our Birthing Suites are spacious, private, comfortable and equipped with state-of-the art technology designed to cater to every individual.
Our spacious Birthing Suites are purpose built and ensure you have a calm and supportive environment.
Each suite includes;
- Immersion bath for use during labor and birth
- large shower
- Birth balls
- heat packs
- Neonatal resuscitation cots
- Central Fetal monitoring system
- Day bed for your partner
- Free Wi-fi
Contact with family and friends
In your interest, no phone calls will be put through to the Birthing Suites. Staff also cannot give out details about the progress of labour or about the baby, due to privacy restrictions. It is best to arrange for your partner or support person to contact the people you wish to be kept informed, using the phone in the delivery suite.
If you have a large family and/or a large group of concerned friends we encourage you to organise a spokesperson to contact the hospital on their behalf. Your partner or support person is encouraged to contact your spokesperson rather than have family and friends ring the hospital. This also frees up our staff to concentrate on caring for you, at the same time, keeping your family and friends informed of your progress.
